ウィキリークスを締め上げる国家、銀行、企業がいる一方で（「ウィキリークス包囲網」）、ウィキリークスを支援する人たち世界中にたくさんいる。 

アサンジ容疑者、世界のハッカーら熱狂的支援（読売新聞） 

記事では、「支援者がいることもある」だなんて不自然な日本語になってるのが、記者の微妙な立場まで想像されてしまうのだけれど。

Guardian、Spiegel、Le Monde、El Paísといったリーク内容を事前に得ていた新聞媒体、 国境なき記者団、欧州各国の海賊党（Pirate Party）それにコピーサイトを作ってウィキリークスを増殖させている人たち（コピーサイトは現在700以上！）。公式な声明はリーク後に出してないみたいだけど、アムネスティ・インターナショナルからは2009年に賞（New Media部門）をもらっているし、スウェーデンのプロバイダー、Bahnhofは「純粋にビジネスのため」と言いながら、サービスを止めてない。前にも書いたダニエル・エルズバーグ氏のように（「沈黙と嘘」が命を奪う）、個人でウィキリークスを応援する人もたくさんいる。［追記：エルズバーグ氏は７人の賛同者とともに「WikiLeaksへの攻撃は私への攻撃と見なす！」といった旨の声明文を発表。］

その中でも強力な応援団、Anonymous（「匿名」）がすごい。

顔がばれないように、映画『V・フォー・ヴェンデッタ』のあのマスクをつけていろんな活動をしてるらしい。そんな彼らの『アサンジ仇討ち作戦』声明は時代遅れをひと回り回ってもはや新しい。思わず日本語訳。

ジュリアン・アサンジは我々が大事にしているものすべてを神としている。彼は一貫して検閲を軽蔑し、検閲と闘ってきた。おそらく史上もっとも成功を収めた国際的なトロールであり、彼が恐れるものは何ひとつありゃしない（アメリカ政府でさえ）。Julian Assange deifies everything we hold dear. He despises and fights censorship constantly, is possibly the most successful international troll of all time, and isn't afraid of fucking anything (not even the US government).

Now, Julian is the prime focus of a global manhunt, in both the physical and virtual realms. Governments across the world are baying for his blood, politicians are up in arm about his recent leak, and even his own country has abandoned him to the wolves. Online, WikiLeaks is a focus of mass DDoS attacks, legislation and downright pandering to the corrupt incumbents which would silence this man.

それゆえ、Anonymous（「匿名」）はジュリアンのために反撃する機会を得た。我々はすでにのしかかっている抑圧的な未来に対抗する機会を得た。我々は史上初の第一次情報戦争を戦う機会を得た。

Therefore, Anonymous has a chance to kick back for Julian. We have a chance to fight the oppresive future which looms ahead. We have a chance to fight in the first infowar ever fought.

1．PayPal（ペイパル）は敵だ。DDoS攻撃が計画されているが、その一方でボイコット（不買運動）もする。友人や家族にもそうするよう促してくれ。

1. PayPal is the enemy. DDoS'es will be planned, but in the meantime, boycott everything. Encourage friends and family to do so as well.

2．現時点でリークされている公電をできる限り広めてくれ。リーク公電をハードドライブに保存し、CDにコピーしてばらまくんだ。最終目標は人間DNS（インターネットを完全にシャットダウンしない限り止められない）だ。

2. Spread the current leaked cables as much as possible. Save them to hard drives, distribute them on CD's, mirror them to websites and seed them on torrents. The end goal is a human DNS - something that can only be stopped by shutting off the entire internet.

4．声を上げろ！Twitter、 MySpace、Facebook、その他のソーシャル・ネット・ワーキングサイトは重要な情報配信のハブ［中心］だ。知り合いすべてが何が起こっているかを気づかせてくれ。たった1人でもいいから次に誰かに伝えるよう説得できたなら、それを毎日できたとしたら、情報は幾何級数的に広まるだろう。

4. Get vocal! Twitter, MySpace, Facebook and other social networking sites are crucial hubs of information distribution. Make sure everyone you know is aware of what is happening. If you can convince just one person to tell one other person every day, the spread of info will be exponential.

5．もしやる気があるなら、自分の国、地域に関する公電をプリントアウトしてばらまこう。バス停や駅、街灯に貼り付けよう。工夫して、人目を引くようにするべし。落書きでウィキリークスのサイトを宣伝するのも素晴らしいアイデアだ。

5. If you're up for it, print out cables which are relevant to your area and distribute them. Post them on bus stops, train stations, street lamps. Be creative and catch people's attention. Using graffiti to spread the WikiLeaks website is also a great idea.

6．地域の議員に、市町村長に、その他コンタクトをとれる政治家ならとにかく誰でも、不平を訴えよ。リークに関するコメントを求めよ。一字一句を記録、ないし録音すべし。

6. Complain to your local MP, mayor, or whichever political figure you can contact. Ask him for comments about the leaks. Record every word that is said.

7．抗議せよ！行進を計画せよ、嘆願書を出せ、行動せよ。数がとにかく物を言う。

7. Protest! Organise community marches, send around petitions, get active. This cannot happen without numbers.
